247Sports has Clemson game among biggest potential upsets

247Sports joined the chorus of outlets eying the mid-November Louisville trip to Clemson as a potential upset:
"In the eyes of Clemson's players and staff, this is the one game in November that holds the least meaning when compared to a road trip to Notre Dame and home bouts with Miami and in-state rival South Carolina. That means no disrespect to Louisville, that's just how it is with an action-packed final month of the season. There's a chance the Tigers' nation-leading home win streak could be at 38 consecutive games heading in and the team will be coming off the emotional high of previous week's matchup in South Bend. Clemson has won all seven meetings all-time since the start of the 2014 season, including four by a touchdown or less. Quarterback Malik Cunningham will keep this one close, again."
Last year's game in Louisville was tight with a last-minute goal-line stand from the Clemson defense preserving a 30-24 Tigers win.

a split personality when it comes to Clemson. One hand says that Clemson is washed up, their playoff run is a thing of the past. If that is so, then how will some of these games like Louisville be considered upsets if Clemson loses?
The other hand has us rated very highly again, and we make the playoffs, maybe even win the whole thing again. So, in that case, why does it seem like we are singled out for upset alerts in what seems to be about half the games this season?
It is a puzzlementation.

Seems like there is more for pundits to gain by predicting a Clemson upset than there is to pick us to win the conference again.
Hope our players remember that we will get everyone's best shot.

I hate being big favorites every week. Makes it more likely we'll stumble, IMHO. Dabo says every game is a "big game" and he's right, but I think it helps for them to hear from elsewhere that a particular game will be particularly tough and not a gimme.

You can almost guarantee that the idiots from ESECPN will have the Tigers on upset alert probably 7 or 8 times like they do every year. Corso will most likely pick against them every chance he gets. I don’t even watch game day anymore due to that bunch of idiot pickers and most of the “guess pickers”.
