Almost seems forgotten, dont see many articles or convo about him, i guess he was hurt his first year, 6-5 320 5A Georgia player of the year seems like a big deal...has alot of talent, so does anyone think he will have a breakout year? I hear alot of talk about Green, Amare Adams and the new tall DE.......will he end up like Capeheart another high rated 5 star but light didnt go off till last year.

He has been forgotten a bit. There’s so much talent on the defensive line. Burley has all the measurables for success and is well coached. It’s been the injuries holding him back. Obviously Woods and Parker get most of the attention and Adams is the hot shot latest freshman. Everyone forgets about vets and loves to talk about the new kids. I’m hoping Vic has the breakout season we expect. He’s so dang talented, just needs to be available.

I heard he had the lazy bug and doing only enough to stay out of the love shack. Said he has the talent, just needs to have the want.

But somehow I think the defense wasnt held to their full potential last few yrs.

That seems to be yearly thing with some players. Can't seem to shake the injury bug.

Vic had knee issues his first year but I think he was playing last season.

He’s just coming into his own. Dabo did speak highly of him at times last year if I recall correctly.

He was hurt his entire first year. Was he hurt some last year?

I know he played some last season and showed a flash or two. He’ll show up this season I’m sure.

He definitely had some injuries then had some major mishaps on special team with a xp getting blocked a time or 2 but he expects to have a significant amount more playing time this yr if healthy which currently he is

Im glad you mentioned Capeheart

He’s a great example of so many players we’ve recruited since the 2018 national championship who never did get healthy and never did live up to the galaxy-sized hype showered on them. What the heck is going on? Are they coming in out of shape and not physically prepared for the rigorous demands of football at this level?
All things considered, Capeheart is a monumental BUST. And he ain’t the only one. We need to figure what’s going on with all these guys who come in so highly touted and virtually never see the field.

Capehart played good last year. What are you talking about? He is poised to break out this year imo. Sometimes it takes guys longer to develop. The Dexters, woods, and Wilkins types don’t come through those doors very often that what makes them special.

I would have to agree with that too and am pretty

Sure he and woods start at tackle this yr. If we can get burley, green, Adams playing significant snaps, that would be huge. I haven’t heard the lazy thing with burley but it may be true. Most of what I have heard is how disruptive(good way) he can be in practice when healthy but then we never see it on the field

Considering the earth-shattering hype

Capeheart got coming in, the fact that he wasn’t even a remote consideration for the 2025 NFL Draft says it all. He’s never been even close to what he was made out to be. About like those WRs Dabo recruited out of Cali a few years back. Never healthy. Total busts.

Patton Page took a couple of years to get it together. He was all conference last year. Hope Burley and Cape can progress like Page.

We found out last year that he couldn't block very well on FG attempts.

In his defense, his position skill pits him as a player that tries to defeat blocks, not set them.
