Not picking on Adam but I was talking to another clemson fan ( first time since the game )we were shocked about the three critical plays he was involved in -totally uncharacteristic of his play in the past and we just wondered what happened?? We were thinking He was trying to hard or just not focused??

it is a hard job that these athletes make look easy 99% of the time. I am actually surprised muffed punts don't happen much more often than they do. I think Adams has had a couple of near muffs in recent games. Maybe he just needs a break from that duty. I don't really know. We have won the turnover battle so many games, almost all of them. We are so good at not turning over the ball, that I think it is just shocking to see that we had six in one game. Some of our worst teams ever (hello 1975 and 1976) didn't have games with 6 turnovers!

On the first but he should not haved tried to catch it anyway and that would've been a situation with the bump -he had tremendous pressure coming at him and he had to step up to catch it and I wish he just let it go over his head

The first (as stated above) was not in anyway his fault. It hit off Martavis before he had a chance to catch it.
Getting stripped after catching the punt was definitely on him. Protect the ball!!!!!!!
What was the third? I can't remember. Maybe it was so bad I blocked it out of my memory.

On the past from Sammy I just thought he could have done better job defending if he couldn't catch it

nothing that could have been done differently during practice or preparation. He effed up. Several of our guys had inexplicable eff-ups. It happens. Anybody who can prevent it from happening, step right up - every football team in America has a place for you.

Yea that went from being perfect....to an all around disaster. We were driving on them and just gave all the momentum away. I don't disagree with the play call, but bad throw and bad effort on the catch

it was without a doubt the most hostile environment we played in all season with the pressure of losing 4 in a row coming in. it's something play @ NCSU or @ Maryland don't prepare you for. the first INT was a mistake and the last 2 INTs were Tajh just forcing the ball. Tajh's fumble was from being stood up and stripped... it's tough to defend. however, the 2 fumbled punt returns were the real game changers which were mental mistakes.

I was just hoping that when Adam realize he couldn't catch the pass from Sammy - he would have hit the defense back so hard that his helmet would be floating around like the Michigan one

One single play can be attributed to Adam ... the fumble.

Otherwise he played a good game.
Martavis Bryant is the culprit on the first punt situation.
The poor throw by Watkins was just exactly that. A poor throw on a poorly chosen play call.
On the fumble, he just got stripped trying hard to get something going for the team. All year long fans have complained that he took too many fair catches. In this instance, maybe he should have just take one.
Adam also had some nice catches in clutch situations to extend drives. He had no drops that I saw, while Sammy dropped an easy one.
