Joe was our beloved TNet friend, famous school ambassador, story teller & wise kind soul who epitomized service to country (served in 2 wars), loyalty to college & love of Family.

Meeting him at age 97 for several hours in Fall of 2019 at his home in Clemson & over lunch in nearby Pendleton with his Daughter Linda was one of the most memorable, cool & prolific times in my life since I was not only with a special man who loved GOD but one who had lived his long life serving his Country, loving Family, Mankind and Clemson thru his faithful participation & deeds of high merit til his very last days.

Thank you JOE21 for coming onto our Tiger sports blog and illuminating it so often with your humor & wisdom when most your age with such an honorable & esteemed past probably wouldn't have.

We have not forgotten you Sir~

GO TiGER(s)!

Excellent post. Joe is missed but remembered fondly so never gone.

I feel like we as a fan base (or at least us as a group of board members) should do something charitable every year to honor and memorialize not only a great Tiger fan, but an outstanding man.

Would be great if he was honored in the Valley

next week for Veteran's Appreciation Day. I would stand and give my best military salute! ( with maybe a tear or two). That would add to the ceremony that always gets to me anyway.
