This. We've had 2 good TE's in 10 years. Not sure why any blue chip TE would ever think of Clemson right now. That's like a 5* QB going to Wisconsin

them, they really need to catch the ball.
Sadly the guys who had a chance to make plays this year have “dropped the ball” figuratively and literally
Otherwise, it’s hard for the coaches to have confidence that a well-called play won’t be a wasted down due to a player failing to execute.
As others have pointed out, Jake Briningstool was about the highest ranked TE in the country. He’ll play a lot next year and would have made it tough for Delp or Skinner to get snaps. Also, Sage Ennis looked good last week.

... killing drives in crucial situations, you feel that the coaches should call more play involving those particular players?
One blown play this year almost always results in a punt.
BTW, I do see what you did there. “Sage” ... ????

Also, may want to watch 2016 and see how much the TE was used. (A lot)

We've had some good ones over the years...

More recently guys like Ben Hall, Dwayne Allen, Michael Palmer, Brandon Ford, and Jordan Leggett.
Then there are the old school guys like Bennie Cunningham, Jim Riggs, KD Dunn, Lamont Hall, and Bubba Diggs, many of who were terribly underutilized.

We signed the #1 TE in the country last year according to some services. He's in uniform every weekend while redshirting and waiting his turn.
And yeah, the solution to our offensive execution is ... throwing to the TE apparently.
Lol.
