I'd say better than average, but not Miami 2006.
I'll go with UGA at home-loud.
In the first half, me and a buddy were talking across the field.

As I was leaving the Stadium, I heard someone say "That was as electric as the Auburn game last year." I think that about sums it up

Halfway through the first quarter it was about what you expect from a usual DV. It was pretty quiet through the 2nd and 3rd quarter. The end was pretty loud. Definitely wasn't close to the loudest it's ever been though. AJ Terrell pick was a loud moment. Xavier Thomas clobbering was nice.
The crowd was just really out of it after Trevor was taken out. I was glad the majority of the fans stayed through it though.

there have been a few louder games overall, but when Renfrow caught that third down pass horizontally it might have been the loudest I've ever heard DV for a non-TD or turnover.
Wish I hadn't been in the bathroom for the Terrell pick because it sounded loud as hell from the stall, lol.

Got pretty quiet when they went up by 10. The last touchdown and the last sack got things really loud, even with the empty seats - reminded me of the missed fields goal when NC State was here, and the interception in OT.

I was thinking about it last night watching Penn st. and Ohio st. That their 106,000 was not as loud as Death Valley at one point coach Franklin was getting his players to try and get the crowd louder. The coach at one time even turned and walked toward the crowd and started raising his hands trying to get the crowd louder. I'm glad Clemson Fans know how to Yell for there team.

It would be nice to see the ticket office make SOME effort to fill the place for early games and games not involving FSU, South Carolina, or a big time OOC match-up. Whatever promotions they're doing (are they doing any?) aren't working and it's hurting our home-field advantage and it's a bad look on TV and to recruits who are at the game. I can't imagine there aren't at least a couple thousand people who stay home simply because they can't afford it. Once the secondary market is offering tickets cheaper than face value, you need some quick strategies to unload the tickets you have on hand. Give them away if you have to-- you'll get money from concessions and you might get some loyalty that pays you back exponentially.
I knew there was a problem when last year's FSU game (a 3.30 kick) had a lot of empty seats. I had never seen that before. I know FSU was down and some in our fanbase are starting to get a little spoiled, but that game was to lock up the division and it's FSU-- our marquee conference game. Hope we get this fixed. Tired of seeing empty corners.

Sure, those tiny corners are annoying but they make a small part of the stadium overall. We haven't had fewer than 79,000 at a game in a few years.

There was a lot of noise in the 100 - 105 db range. I don't recall the exact point in the game when I saw it go to 113. I didn't see it hit the 114 db mark because I was looking at the crowd. I'm glad I didn't wear my hearing aids yesterday.
Boys and girls, that 94 yard winning touchdown drive was a thing of beauty. The team looked altogether different on that drive. It reminded me of our final touchdown drive when we defeated Alabama in the national championship game.

I only saw 111 db once at Kyle Field when we played with 104,799 in attendance! And it is a closed ended stadium! The CLEMSO N after the last TD was the loudest I remember!

It was plenty loud but, try as we might, we couldn't get Syracuse to jump.
Really nice roar on the Brice to Higgins fourth down conversation. It was like getting the eleventh hour phone call from the governor.

Here are some comparisons:
Steel mill, auto horn at 1 meter. Turbo-fan aircraft at takeoff power at 200 ft (118 dB). Riveting machine (110 dB); live rock music (108 - 114 dB).
110 bB (A chainsaw at 3’)
Average human pain threshold. 16 times as loud as 70 dB.
