Johnson will miss Humanitarian Bowl

by -

Clemson, SC-Clemson reserve guard Cedric Johnson will miss the

Humanitarian Bowl game against Louisiana Tech due to a torn MCL in

his left knee. Johnson suffered the injury during practice on

Thursday. An MRI revealed the injury. He could also have damage to

his ACL.

Johnson, who played in all 11 games on special teams and in three

games as an offensive guard behind T.J. Watkins, will be reevaluated

after the bowl game in January when he has arthrocropic surgery. At

that time it will be determined if he needs further surgery. His

status for spring practice will not be known until after his surgery

in January.
