As a junior, he rushed for 1,520 yards and 21 touchdowns. He also threw for 846 yards and two scores and played DB on passing downs. Also, Tankersley finished fifth in the 100-meter dash (11.11 seconds) and third in the 200-meter race (21.92). Tankersley is the nephew of former Silver Bluff star and NFL veteran Dwayne Bates. #17 rated player and 4 star recruit based on the 2012 AthleteVault NC/SC Rankings.
