WATCH: Broncos CB pokes Allen in the eye |
Former Clemson tight end Dwayne Allen was poked in the eye intentionally (three stooges move) by Denver Broncos cornerback Aquib Talib in the closing minutes of the 27-24 Colts win.
The Colts were able to run out of the clock after the 1st down from Talib's personal foul penalty for unnecessary roughness. “It was a cheap play,” Allen said to the Indy Star. “I’m just going to leave it at that. I totally understand that emotions are part of this game. I try to play this game the right way and play as hard as I can within the rules and echo of the whistle. That’s how you are coached since little league. I just hope that everyone else can play that way also.” Allen has only nine catches (17 targets), 75 yards and a touchdown this season.
