Collegefootballbelt.com is a lineal championship for college football starting with the 1971 Nebraska Cornhuskers.

The win over Virginia Tech gave Clemson their 2nd consecutive Belt defense tying their longest championship reign with the 1988 Tigers. The Tigers now boast a 3-1 record against ACC teams in Belt games with their only loss coming to Florida State in 1999. Clemson is 2-6-1 against Boston College since 1960 but the teams have never met in a Belt game.

Clemson won the college football belt by defeating Auburn and will once again be putting its championship belt up against Boston College this weekend.
