Rex Ryan jokes about benching his VT players cause of ACC title game

by - Assoc. Editor -

Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan is a diehard Clemson fan with his son Seth as the placeholder on the football team.

Ryan held his weekly press conference on Wednesday and joked that he might bench his former Virginia Tech players because of the upcoming ACC Championship game against Clemson on Saturday night.

"He (tight end Logan Thomas) is not starting this week and for good reason," Ryan said. "This is a Virginia Tech kid and I’m thinking about benching Tyrod this week as well."

Taylor was asked about Ryan's comments on Thursday morning and just said, "Go Hokies!"
