Brings to Clemson: Potter has what you would expect out of a scholarship-recruited kicker - and then some - in his powerful right leg. Life was pretty boring on the kickoff coverage team for South Pointe during Potter's run, including 117 of his 126 attempts going for touchbacks this past season. With a long of 49, Potter connected on 72 percent of his field goals over the last two seasons.

Depth chart fit: Potter's kickoff prowess instantly puts him in the mix there. With Greg Huegel slated to return, Potter's time as placekicker is likely further down the road. Assistant coach Danny Pearman said on Clemson's Signing Day show Wednesday that Potter could also work in as the backup punter competition.
