The top prospect in South Carolina this year, CJ Byrd, will take his first official visit this weekend to USC. Except it is not the USC most people thought would get an official visit from Byrd. Byrd will be on hand for the nation's #1 team's game against Washington. While Byrd has hinted it is a longshot for him to go to Southern California, he is still excited about the trip.
"I am very excited. I will fly out Saturday morning to the game. It will be a great experience for me." Byrd is excited about his visit, but has been really disappointed about his senior season. Injuries and lack of experience has hurt the North Augusta squad this season. "I can't describe how disappointed I am right now. It is really bothering me with not winning. Right now, it doesn't look like we will make the playoffs."
