View Full Profile suffered a torn ACL against N.C. State and will be lost for the season, and Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney confirmed that on Sunday.

We asked Swinney if Jones would qualify for a medical redshirt, and Swinney said he was unsure. Swinney said the staff would meet Monday and see if the NCAA would allow Jones an extra red-shirt year - he has already redshirted one season.

Swinney said the loss of Jones was a big one for the Tigers because he thought Jones would be a player that would emerge as the season went along.
