Former Clemson WR gets his high school number retired

'WRU' got another prestigious award.

Former Clemson receiver Mike Williams had his #7 number retired by Lake Marion high school on Friday night during halftime of the game against Ridgeland/Hardeeville.

"It feels good man," he said. "Everything started here on this football field. I brought my high school coach here. It feels amazing to be first number retired at the school."

In high school, Williams had 60 receptions for 1,395 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior. As a junior, he had 66 receptions for 1,296 yards and 11 touchdowns. He caught 42 receptions as a sophomore.
