Clemson safety moved to cornerback

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson sophomore safety K'Von Wallace spoke with the media on Monday and shared that he would be moving to cornerback for the near future because of recent injuries to teammates Travyon Mullen and Marcus Edmond.

"Coach Mike Reed literally just told me 10 minutes before coming here that (I'm) being moved back to corner and get some work there. Hopefully contribute there.

I'm very confident. I've been playing it all camp. From the beginning to the end. And all spring from the beginning to the end. Not getting one safety rep or nickel rep, they strictly put there at corner. But when Van when out, I had to go in there and contribute at strong safety."

Swinney said on the teleconference Sunday that "K'von Wallace is another guy who can go play corner for us without any problem at all. We're going to be alright."

Wallace had six tackles and an interception in 109 snaps last season.
