as he was selected by the Saints in the first round with the #31st overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Saints' players and coaches alike have been impressed with the rookies' performance at middle linebacker in 15 padless practices.

"I think the game, it’s not very fast for him," defensive coordinator Rob Ryan said to The New Orleans Advocate. "He’s been really well-coached in college, he understands football, he loves football, so he’s learning at a very quick rate, and that’s awesome. That you can see with no pads on."

Anthony plays a tough position at middle linebacker for a rookie as he is responsible for all the calls for the defense.

"You’ve got to control the huddle," Anthony said. "You’ve got to show them that you’re not afraid, you’re not going to back down. You’ve got to be able to make plays; you’ve got to be willing to take chances."

Anthony is starting to feel comfortable guarding the pass and against the run. "I think it’s more natural (to defend both the run and the pass),” Anthony said. "What I see is what I attack."

He had 330 tackles, 34.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, three interceptions for eight yards, 18 quarterback pressures, 13 pass breakups, five caused fumbles and one recovered fumble during his Clemson playing days. He also was named a consensus first-team All-ACC selection his senior season with 90 tackles.
