This morning, former Clemson alumni Will Wade was announced as the new head coach at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Wade spent six years with the Clemson basketball program from 2001-07, four as a student manager, plus one each as a graduate assistant and director of operations.

“I could not be more excited about the opportunity to lead the Chattanooga basketball program,” Wade said the release. “We will build a program the student-athletes, alumni and fans all take great pride in. Wade grew up in Nashville, graduated from Clemson in 2005 and coached at Harvard for two years before joining Smart’s staff.
