The sad state of officiating in college basketball ...

Is carrying the ball still a violation, or is it like holding in football, whereby players do it so blatantly on every play, refs have collectively decided to ignore it? Seriously, when was it required that refs be castrated before being hired? Early 90s? 2000s? No player dribbles anymore, thay all cary and turn the ball over constantly, more or less running with it. You young'uns probably don't even know any better. And the hacking and grabbing and tackling am\nd knocking down that goes uncalled is ridiculous ... why even have refs if you're just going to have a bunch of poosies who are scared to death to do their jobs?
will you see carrying called.. and it's usually so blatant and out in the open... like on a fast break
but it's been that way for years
starting to see less traveling called too. not as bad as in the NBA, but the kids are getting a bit more freedom to slide their feet and take extra steps
