I was listening on the radio when Clemson played Notre Dame in Death Valley. I grew up a Notre Dame fan. I knew nothing of Clemson back then. Now, my blood runneth orange. I did not even know what the "South" was until I went to Clemson as a student in 1979. Boy, did I learn from many of my friends at Clemson! I remember the rumors about firing Danny Ford during the 1980 season. Can you believe that? He certainly did turn it around after the 1980 season. I'll never forget the first time they came running down The Hill in orange pants! The Shamecocks had no chance even before that game began!
