Gary Johnson

Set five school records at Cherryville High School in 1997...rushed for 1379 yards and scored 14 touchdowns last year..had eight touchdowns and over 500 yards of all-purpose yardage called back due to penalties...also had 122 yards receiving...started at strong safety and cornerback throughout the 1997 season, he was the team's second leading tackler...had two interceptions, including one that he returned for a score...set school records for season scoring, season rushing, career scoring, career rushing and career all-purpose yardage...all-conference for two years, team offensive MVP for two years...competed in the state track meet last year in the shot, he also runs the 100 meters for the Cherryville track team...currently second leading scorer on 18-0 basketball team as a shooting guard...cousin, Phillip Crosby, plays football at Tennessee...Born on 5-21-80...played for Coach Tim Quattlebaum at Cherryville High School.
