Not sure what you expect. He is undersized and has been out of football for a few years. Plus there are younger guys to invest in. He’s had a much better career than I would have expected.

And I bet he will get picked up somewhere, hopefully not the panthers. He was getting rave reviews early in training camp. But of course, I agree if he never plays another regular season down he’s had an amazing career. Walk on to a pro bowl, with a national championship winning catch.

cheaper younger players and save $. Your min goes up based on CBA and the more seasons you are credited with. They can always come back and sign those guys if they have injury issues on their 1st team and are still in the playoff hunt. The CBA needs to be rethought.

Does not seem he was aggressive & violent enough for pro LB, and he was not shifty enough for safety despite his elite straight-line speed. Just like you say - a head scratcher.
