Tony Morrell is really whistling past the graveyard on WCCP.

Pinning an offensive change on statements like "The offensive line is really coming off the ball in a different way from last year." Oh come on!!

"When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car."

"I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it."

Sure, they look good in practice against their D Line

NC State is gonna be like a slap in the face to them.

They may be but if so, it's only because...

they're playing against $CU's ****** defense.

In fairness, last year they came off the ball heading backward immediately. Perhaps they have coached them on what direction the offense is suppose to move.

Honestly I don't see it either. While we do have a great QB I don't see us being much better on the OL. Think we(USC fans) are really overrating the offense.

Guess it's to be expected when you really don't have much to look forward to next year.

In what universe has Bentley done anything to prove that he is a great QB?

Bless your heart !!!!

I think she's talking about someone other than Bentley

He calls it how he sees it....which may end up having some garnet colored slant, but overall, he keeps it pretty real

What part of that post...

evokes a sentiment of hatred.

I simply asked what Bentley has done to prove that he is a "great" QB.

The answer is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

In fact, if you list the top 25 QB's from 2016, Bentley doesn't even make the "others receiving votes" list.

And I agree, Bently hasn't shown me anything at all. Frankly, I have no idea what all the hype is about. But we shall see.

I was really just commenting on how Clasof09 basically said they don't have much to cling to this year, and people still ostracize him just for being a loyal fan. Not you, just some folks here in general

Well...

in fairness, Clueless09 does have a lengthy history of being one of the most ignorant and deluded Capon posters on TigerNet; a distinction he's gone out of his way to garner.

To be honest, y'all over rate your QB also. An all everything QB is suppose to play all 4 quarters without fear, or without taking a knee on the side lines!!!

Remember the beating Charlie took against TT? CW was a great QB. Bentley may end up a great QB but the jury is still out. BTW who is the 2nd string coot QB? Better hope there are no injuries or their season could go from below average to dismal very quickly.

One other thought, shuttling Bentley from the sideline to the huddle last year was not a good plan. Would have been much better to use a WR for that task so Bentley could use the time to collect himself and focus

Bless your heart.

I don't think Bentley is that great

I watch Bentley play against real defenses in Clemson, Florida and UT, and I saw aI guy with a decent arm but slow footed and unathletic. Connor Shaw was a much better quarterback .

As I said...

Tony, if there's one thing you can't see from a scrimmage

it's "the o-line is getting off the ball better".

Good lord man. Even if they are, there's no way Tony Morrell can see that. Even Dabo probably couldn't really tell.

I feel bad for Tony. Chad from Columbia rips him a new one every week. Tony has to make chicken salad from chicken poop. Chad kills him every week.

The offensive line needs to be leaps and bounds better for them to have an offense like their fans think.

They can keep those 12 All American receivers, their backfield stable of Hershel Walker Dowdle, Bo Jackson Turner, and Emmitt Smith Williams, and the All-World 15 year old QB that we hear all about, but if they can't block for them they won't score.

I was just reading some fans' posts about their practices. Apparently they have unstoppable DEs and OTs that can literally pancake a DE with some kind of one-handed death blow. (Not sure how those two things can happen at the same time, but whatevs.)

I know I'm nervous.
