The Dye Is Cast
Tyshon Dye was cast into the fray Saturday and he responded with a big effort, notching 20 carries for 124 yards. What does he say about his big day? What do head coach Dabo Swinney and Chad Morris say about why Dye got so many carries? Full Story » |

I love how humble this kid is! Love his passion as well..
I think we have something big with this guy...
To me he is the mold of what a Clemson player really is!

He sure looks the big time RB type against the weaker teams. He has had to endure a lot, and hopefully he gets his deserving dues for all the hard work it takes to continue to come back from the bad injuries he's come back from. Get him in big boy FB shape, I think that he could carry the load of success at RB baring anymore season ending injuries. Let just hope the Dye cast was cast in tough endurance mode!!!

Well said - this kid is the real deal and I hope that he and Gallman run roughshod all over the Gamecocks. Go Tigers!

I think it was b/c GT is also big boy FB as we are, and coaches didn't want to risk him taking the punishment that GT's defense would attack him with, with Dye not being in FB shape. I mean what other reason could it have been. He was just something for GT to think about, and when he wasn't used, GT ignored him.

him; there were only 3 carries that went to another RB (Davidson). I believe 2 when Gallman was briefly shaken up and one when Nick was in the game-(it was over)

Glad to see Dye back and have a great game. After all that this young man has been thru, what a relief to see him get it done. Between him and Gallman, we should have a good backfield for next week provided the O line gets up for the game. Be nice if DW is in there as the starter. Give Dye and Gallman the ball to run so DW can concentrate on throwing it down field past the line of scrimmage. Use both in a package to block if needed to shore up the holes that the line can't plug. GO TIGERS !!!

Dye vs. GT, Dabo? What, you didn't want to reveal your secret weapon before playing Ga. State?

Thank the Lord we have someone that has vision. It was nice to see a back that cut in a hole that was open and not run in the back of O lineman! Woo hoo!

Amen!! He looks like a natural running back. He cuts to open space 2-3 yards down field instead of following those slow O Lineman like the other backs . Gallman has just now started cutting to the open field.

what the backs will look like....
in 2015*
Tyshon Dye Wayne Gallman Zac Brooks Adam Choice Cj Davidson Ray McCloud
Man, how could Elliot and the fans not be excited about that group!! Key now is.....
where does the O-line stand for 2015---that's the area that concerns me.

I think the o-line may possibly be pretty strong next year. Crowder and Hyatt on right side possibly and Guillermo possibly at left guard or center? Just my thought

Noah Greene was better during the off season than Fruhmorgen was, supposedly anyway. The o-line will be alright, as long as those guys can develop quickly. Would like to see it like this: LT-Batlle/Gore/Hyatt LG-Crowder/Hearn C-Norton/Guillermo RG-Guillermo/Riggs RT-Anthony/OJ/Green

We are turning, or should I say have turned the page. I saw a running game we have been missing for a long time, I saw Cole Stoudt take charge and grow as a leader and not get frustrated when a couple of things went wrong ( but so many things did go right), and I saw the defense bow up and play very well. I believe we are ready to start a new string of uscjr wins for Clemson.
Go Tigers!!!
Proud of the determination I saw Saturday!

Completely unrelated, but in other news, former Clemson DB Marcus Gilchrist just intercepted a pass in the end zone to seal the win for the Chargers against the Rams. Tiger nation, baby!
