Have never understood the angst when we offer a kid from outside the area and the inevitable "When was the last time we got a kid from that area" type posts come up.

I live very close, will get over there and check him out. Promise to wear my orange and be seen. This is the 22K huge stadium, hard to believe it in person. 6000 students, three grades. Only studs on this team

I used to live in San Angelo, TX and made frequent trips to the Midland/Odessa area. They also have an impressive HS stadium (18,000 capacity). It's located next to the Midland Rockhounds baseball stadium (AA affiliate of the Oakland A's).

The more sticks.

You have to keep working the areas, and eventually you will make inroads. Recruiting is a marathon not a sprint.
