And, relatively poor defense against a weak GT team. This game was NOT a domination.

LSU dropped twice after wins this year ....given this time

they dropped because they lost, but poor performance or better performances ahead will lead one to get leapfrogged. May not be what CU did pr did not do, but what someone else did to empress this week
just sayin

Dude relax. We are lucky to be where we are. We cannot expect to get respect until we earn it. Fla st beat us and then lost to nc state. Not good.

Jesus Christ. That's ridiculous.
I could see us staying in the same position, but they seriously decided it was legit to jump Oklahoma from 17 to 13 because they beat Texas Tech?

When we stop giving up so may points and yardage then maybe we will get some respect. I want to see us move up as much as the next tiger fan, but we need to be solid on both sides of the ball. The defense is improving but has a long ways to go.

True...but at the same time WVU gave up 63 at home to an unranked Baylor team. I think WVU is probably a better team than us at this point, but it doesn't change the fact that their defense is non-existent. Same with Texas.
Ultimately all we need to do is keep winning but it's still frustrating to see this stuff happen.
But as many others have mentioned, our drop is mainly due to FSU's loss.

Run the score up on everybody we do play. That is what the voters expect to see from our style of offense. They don't care much for defense anymore. And they do want to see teams break the score boards with a trillion points. Enough is never enough with them anymore. Competitive games just don't register with the voters anymore.

We will move up during the bye week though. Maybe 3 spots.
Oct 7, 2012, 12:08 PM

SCAR plays LSU both ahead of us Texas plays Oklahoma Both ahead of us USC @ Wash if USC loses Stanford @ Notre Dame, will give us some of Stanfords votes if they lose or knock Notre Dame under us, perhaps. Oregon State @ BYU if BYU wins
So we will move up at least to 14 and maybe to 13. If we can beat Virginia Tech and get to 6-1 Then we could move into the top ten because next week
WVU plays Kansas State (both ranked ahead of us) FSU plays @ Miami (if Miami wins) SCAR plays Florida (both ranked ahead of us)
Basically, if we keep winning, we will have a great end of the year. Winning out would be the second best season in Clemson history. And beating SCAR would be a great season all by itself.
WIN!

UF jumps 6 spots for beating LSU?
Oct 7, 2012, 12:13 PM
|

In an SEC snoozefest? Get real voters. You really think UF could bear WVU?
The AP is a worthless poll that really should not get any exposure anymore. It has ZERO impact on anything in college football.

Instant Analysis:
1) We gained 49 votes - More voters moved us up than down. 2) All of the one loss teams in front of us lost to a team ranked higher than they are currently ranked except: - FSU - Beat us - USC - Bigger name; Started season ranked #2, ten spots ahead of us; Lost one week before us, so more time to recover.
Overall, probably a fair ranking (at least as fair as human ranking can be), no media bias.
Keep winning, we'll be ok, and could move back into the top 5 before the end of the season.

Try minding your own #### business ####.
Nice win against Georgia... I know if we beat a big rival the first thing I'm going to do is go to my other rival's boards to post when they also won their game.

A blind man can see that bias

Sheesh.
UF goes from preseason 23 to 4 after beating scrubs and a half of a great team in LSU.
LSU stays in the top 10 after struggling to beat Auburn, Towson and losing to UF.

move up either. We were tied for #15 with TCU last week, which means we were also tied for #16.
The biggest thing that hurt us (other than being in the ACC) is FSU losing. Even if they hadn't lost we might have moved up one maybe two spots at the most.
I'm fine with where we are for the time being. There is still a lot of football left to be played.
If you're really that upset with it, you should tell Cecil Hurt of The Tuscaloosa News or Kieth Sargeant of Gannett NJ Newspapers. Both voted the lowest ranking for Clemson at #21 http://www.pollspeak.com/component/option,com_psreport/Itemid,3/lang,en/p,46/r,T/s,21/t1,20/v,/w,7/
