with a Redshirt Freshman QB or a QB with minimal/no experience. It's only happened.....
2005 - FSU - Drew Weatherford
2006 - WF - Riley Skinner
2008 - BC - Crane/Davis (neither saw time behind Ryan)
2009 - Clemson - Kyle Parker
So we've had five ACCCGs so far and at least four times there has been a team with a "rookie" or "green" QB?????
But to all the doom & gloom people, don't let facts get in the way of your opinions.

Great post.
In fact, the 2006 WF team is a blueprint for our season - (1) simplicty on offense: good running game paired with a fairly simple passing attack; (2) great defensive play; and (3) emphasis on out-executing the opponent in all three phases.
In fact, the 2006 WF team reminded me in many ways of some of Danny Ford's Clemson teams...

Especially about the DF teams. They just flat out didn't make a lot of mistakes. That takes lots of discipline.

I would hold out on predicting such a bad season. You must have remembered that Boyd is a dual threat QB with a nice arm to boot! If you ask me that brings a new dynamic to the offense. Having to plan around a QB that is a threat to throw or run is not easy and works in our favor. Just saying. I still believe we win at least 9 games this year with Boyd under center.

Also take into consideration that Boyd has been heading up the scout team against a dang good defence. Its not like his is all green. And he will have an experience Offencive group ahead of him that can help him out with reading coverage.
