Right now, there are around one hundred and fifteen young men vying to make the “team.”
Our Team.
We’ve already resigned ourselves to recounting great victories against A&M, close contests against the Hurricanes, and eighty point wins against the lowly Gamecocks.
Truth be told, just remember this…
The sun will rise twenty nine more times on these young men. And twenty nine more times they will sweat and bleed to make us happy. We are merely spectators in their game of life, and perhaps we care too much about what they do instead of what they have done.
Sacrifices have already been made: Family, Future, and Finances. Those that stand now are our willing warriors. They have chosen to fight with us, study with us, and embrace us. They have become us.
Lake Hartwell will embrace the new and returning Tigers. And as with every embrace, she is prone to drowning the very object of her desire.
I ask you, Tiger faithful… be the buoy. Be the warm dock. Be the sandy shores of the Y beach for these guys.
They’ll give you their soul, their heart, and their talent. But don’t wait for measure in wins and losses. By just showing up, they bleed orange.

I'm mostly concerned about the "bad assess" dressed in black who showed up today. I hope the upper classmen will put those guys in there place in a hurry.

I showed up, dressed all in black with a mowhawk... and white reebok's.
That lasted for about 18 hours... max.

The scrimmage is next Saturday...
and, well... we look pleasantly bad, or graciously good.
We are talented and thin, quick and thick, and smart without experience.
Sooooooo...
It'll be a great season nevertheless.
But I can say this, it's the best "Team" I've ever encountered as a coach. Pretty sure these guys are ready to scarifice for one and another.
