With all respect to the "pull for the ACC" fans: No.

Mar 22, 2015, 12:47 PM

If you want to pull for the ACC teams in the NCAA tournament, go for it. I don't/won't. Here's why:

1) It's basketball. And being in the ACC hasn't done is the favors it once did. Near or just above .500(in conference play) got us into the Big Dance in years past. It doesn't now. So who cares?

2) Tired of the arrogance from Tobacco Road and now the yankee beat writers. Clemson is an excellent public university in a beautiful corner of South Carolina. When a slack jaw from Buffalo writes that Ole Miss is better than Clemson my blood boils. In no measurable way is Moldly Miss better than Clemson.

3) When have they EVER supported us? Answer: Never. I've gotten more supportive texts from UGa fans, Duck fans(I just moved to Northern California) and even Chicken lovers. But no support from Tar Heels, Deacs, or Hokies.

4) THE ACC ISN'T THE SEC. We don't share trophies:)

THIS!..Well Said

Mar 22, 2015, 1:20 PM

To NOT "root" for the ACC to do well is stoopid!...I don't "Like" any of the ACC teams in all reality but if you ever want to see an ACC network and increased monies going to Clemson to continue our ability to compete in recruiting you had better pinch your nose and pull for the league...

I would pull for the ACC in a ###### pulling contest.

.500 in the ACC used to make the dance because the league

was so good. If the conference can continue to do very well (this is a good start) we might get back to that kind of situation again.

It's too watered down

Nobody is denying the top of the acc isn't great. However the bottom with VT, Wake, BC, FSU and GT is just terrible.

Why is this even an issue? Basketball season is really the only time a year that Tobacco Road gets publicity...we have our football traditions...leave them their basketballs.

What was the Old Miss reference about?

Mar 22, 2015, 2:05 PM

I didn't hear about that....link?

I hate Ole Miss

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

this is a terrible argument

Mar 22, 2015, 2:26 PM

Clemson > ACC > whoever else

Pulling for other conferences makes less sense and for reasons nobody has to list.
