My in-laws are rolling in to town any minute now and staying until Monday.
This is the weekend we turn the clocks back an hour. You get an extra hour of sleep. I get an extra hour with in-laws.
My son got his hand ripped open making a tackle in his football game last Saturday. With 13 stitches, he's sidelined from both football and baseball this weekend.
It's raining in Richmond (yes, VIRGINIA) which means my daughter's soccer game will be canceled for tomorrow.
So, no kid activities to take me away from the in-laws.
My wife severely sprained her ankle yesterday while racing me through an obstacle course.
Doc says total rest for 72 hours, meaning no hope she and the in-laws go on extended shopping trips.
Did I mention I live in VIRGINIA???
If all that isn't enough ...
I'm bald.
Of course, it could be worse.
I WON the race through the obstacle course!!!
Just wanted to give some perspective here.

My 11-year-old son plays football in the Metro Richmond youth league midget division.
Midway through the third quarter yesterday he made a tackle, then emerged from the pile running toward the sideline and pointing to his right hand.
The coaches immediately called for me and the paramedics. He had literally ripped what looked like a hole in the back of his hand.
His head coach later called the injury "gruesome."
It took five Novocain shots and 13 stitches to get him back together.
He couldn't remember exactly what happened on the play.
In the ER I said, "You don't think anybody stepped on you on purpose do you?"
His immediate response: "No, dad ... I don't think there were any Marcus Vicks out there."
Just a reminder that these college football players truly leave an impression on our youth with their actions, sometimes very good ones and sometimes very bad ones.
