* they needed a long time ago to replace Walt...and some of the other guys that are not Clemson friendly...I am all about making sure we give equal time to all schools...but Columbia has it's own sport talk radio...and trust me..they don't cater to the Tigers
*you would think that with dependability on local sponsors they would do a better job...but they don't use local sponsors as much anymore....cause those companies know we are not happy...
*I even called one day to ask the qualifications for a "trial run" ...an interview....a trial....they never called me back....
* radio station sounds like "cheap" radio, except during Tiger broadcasts or ESPN broadcasts.....
hope they know this.....

I cant say im all the way done with wccp because i love the packman show, mickey, and dan. BUT all the rest of their programming is straight garbage. Used to try and listen at work from 12-5.....i don't even bother anymore

I have been listening to WCCP every time I am in my car for the last 2 years. I always loved most of the shows, especially Mickey and Pac Man's. The new guys that have taken over in place of Don Munson before Walt's show are absolutely horrible. I think it is great that they want to bring in an intern, but that kid is a joke and the coot fan is even worse. I am going on my last semester as a student at CU and know for a FACT that I know way more about Clemson sports and sports in general than that kid. And the coot fan tries to divert talk to his BS school and I can't take it anymore. If I could have both of their salaries combined, I would consider the job, even though it is probably substantially less than I am making in my current job...

you know, wccp has email and a phone at their station. wouldn't it be better to talk with someone there rather than complain about it on a message board. i certainly have let them know my complaints.

The first thing they need to do in correcting this problem is
Move Walt up an hour
Walt- 2 to 4
Packman- 4 to 7
PROBLEM FREAKING SOLVED. The morning programs are pretty good.

One of the shows feature Mark Hauser long time play by play announcer for the Wofford Terriers and for the former Greenville Braves. They have an AM channel in Greenville too but I am not sure of the numbers. You can go online to ESPN 1400AM Spartanburg SC to either listen via the internet or look up the AM number for the Greenville Market.
But I do miss PACMAN'S SHOW those guys are crazy but entertaining.

WCCP first off is a joke of a station, I think we all agree. But they are in a bit of a box. I am sure that they would like to become a real sports talk station as opposed to a radio version of the "orange and white". To do this they would have to diversify a bit, which means not being "all in" 24 hours a day. I think that is the reason for the guy at 2 PM. They are not going to expand there base audience by one person by bleeding orange all the time. They already have everyone of those people. But they probably know that if they don't try something else some of the time this is as good as they could ever hope to get.

I have been living in Camden SC and if I wanted to tune in to a sports radio station it was 107.5 the Game, home of the ...chickens.
There fans are constantly complaining about Clemson coverage, and one of the daily hosts is a clemson fan
I just moved to Franklin NC and can not find any sports radio stations that I can pik up.
If you dont want to listen to WCCP OK! But it seems to me most of these stations from a business stand point have to give some attention to evn the rival, for business sakes! If you owned a business woulf you want everyones money or just the Clemson fans money! In a slow economy they better keep all the business they can.

You know I think it's so funny when I read some of the crap I see on TigerNet. When I listen to a radio station and they have something on air I don't like, I use something called a KNOB and change the station and go on with my life. You guys apparently don't know how to use the KNOB and then go and have to come online and complain and hide behind fake names. I'm sure that WCCP tries to put on the best programming and only carries 1 show that has Gamecock talk and it last for 1 hour, but that one hour ends up making WCCP an ALL COOT STATION. Amazing!!

FYI: They have tried to get Walt to take another hour, starting at 2, but he refuses because he has to drive his wife to work and he can't get to the station any earlier than 3. No joke, that's the truth.

programs...especially after games like they had at Kentucky. They talk a good deal about Clemson and even have a couple of designated Clemson folks who come on for banter. I prefer that to 100% homerism. Just more interesting to me.
