Great Job today tigers but.....

Oct 17, 2009, 7:11 PM

Napier and CO still need to go. We should not have to get overly excited of blowing out a wake forest team. Clemson should expect more. No matter if we win out Dabo needs to go and get a proven offensive coordinator. We will see if he really values his job here a CLEMSON.

You obviously didn't see the play calling today, granted...

Oct 17, 2009, 7:16 PM

I didn't think it was that much of a problem coming in, the PLAYERS finally PLAYED as a COMPLETE TEAM for a FULL 60 minutes this year.

Whatever . . .

Oct 17, 2009, 7:37 PM

blowing out Wake certtainly doesn't earn one credentials as unassailable. But, today proves that Napier's playcalling isn't so "crap" when the players execute.

At the very least, Napier should be judged on the success or failure of his playcalling when his players execute. To watch them fumble around like high school players for a month and then blame it all on Napier's gameplanning and playcalling just doesn't hold water. If poor results persist through good execution then that's another story. But this makes 1 game and 1 half (2nd half of GT game) where the players have executed well. To refuse Napier the benefit of the doubt when his players have provided him no foundation for success is not sound reasoning.

No it proves lack of coaching. Thats all it proves

Oct 17, 2009, 7:40 PM

So TB should have been fired because when his players did execute we won the other times um.... we didn't

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Bullcrap

Oct 19, 2009, 2:58 PM

TB had the same thing go on for 10 years under all sorts of playes and asst coaches. With him lack of execution was a constant problem, all the time, with everyone, everyhwere.

The current staff hasn't been around long enough to have such a track record. Folks have taken a bad start and tried to equate that with 10 years of consistent sloppiness with TB. It's apples and oranges. ANY coach can have a few bad games - it's whether the issues get straightened out after a time that is the question.

if Napier improves during the season, he won't be going anywhere. Today was a good start.
