Several of you have axed, so here is a Parks update

Mar 6, 2015, 11:00 AM

He has recovered to do as much as his heart will let him do. It is working at about 60% and there is still a waiting game to see how much his heart recovers on its own, or possibly needing a transplant. He has been practicing as much as he can lately and last weekend at our first tournament:

Walking 18 holes for the first time since being on a ventilator for 2 weeks
in terrible weather
playing a competitive high school tournament as an 8th grader
on an extremely difficult course
too weak to reach many of the holes in regulation

Parks shot 74 and was tied for 8th after the first round!

Of the 7 people that beat him that round there were 4 players that have already accepted offers to D1 schools including Bryson Nimmer going to your beloved Clemson Tigers and Trace Crowe going to Auburn.

Here he is on the first tee when I insisted on a picture. He really didn't see what the big deal was. :)

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers.

helping people. Humanity, civiliy, concern for others
is greater than > rivalry, idiocracy, selfish stupidity.
Hate to see a young person or anyone suffer, but God has
a plan and he has infinite wisdom, while we are finite.
The young man has already touched lives.
