I want to thank whichever young whipper snapper Tiger

Nov 16, 2012, 9:59 AM

posted a few months ago about his exchange with a Coot. I was eating breakfast this morning dressed out in my black Wofford sweat shirt over a Clemson orange shirt. Collar pulled out and sleaves poking out at the wrists. My Clemson paw hat lay on the table. A man in his late 30's starts. "Woe-Ford! What's a Woe-Ford! Did you go to Woe-Ford or to Farmer U--Tater College?"

Then I remembered your post. I asked, "Do you really want to know the difference between you and me?" Stunned expression. "Yea tell me!" "The difference is, I wear these colors because I went to both schools and proud of them both. You wear your Coot garb because you went to Walmart!" Perfect silence! His friend gave a funny snort of support and received an ugly look for it.

If I were not such an old fart I think he would have hit me. He left!

Thanks again for that pricesess post!

Outstanding, but I have been spelling whippersnapper as one word and not two. I may be wrong about the spelling, but not about some unfortunate, uninformed and classless coots.

hey, nothing wrong with pulling for teams in two different divisions.1a and 1aa (i know, not pc). it's not like the people that i get into it with about pulling for clemson (or anyone else) in football and someone besides that school in basketball, just for the sake of pulling for a winner in both sports.

LOL-good for you!***

I think I told you before, but I will again

my dad played football at Wofford . I would have to guess at the years, since he was in the military before that. Maybe around '48

He is a Terrior AND a Tiger, having taken classes at CU later on.

He is 89 years old and I will be helping him to his seat on 11/24
