All those complaining about class . . .

Aug 19, 2009, 8:30 AM

Please call me in about 5 years when you have to work 50-60+ hours a week and must deal with a 5'-1" 250lb secretary that hates men.

enjoy every dang minute of class . . . you have no idea how good you've got it.

I'll be doing mine next fall as well.... by choice

Aug 19, 2009, 12:27 PM [ in reply to you are doing your co-op in the fall!?!? ]

more likely to see a football game on tv than basketball AND I care a ton more about basketball anyway! Also since football games are on the weekend I'll likely make it back for some. To each his own

Disagree

Aug 19, 2009, 9:24 AM

I work 65 hours a week. However, every night I get to go home and be completely care free.

At Clemson I worked while taking class. So I'd be either in class or working until 6pm every night. Then I'd have to go home and study for hours. Then constantly be stressed about an upcoming exam.

Now I have less stress and get paid. It is the life!

Re: Disagree

Aug 19, 2009, 9:31 AM

Agreed. I really don't want to go back to class after being in the "real world." I'd much rather work my schedule during the week and take home a paycheck than have homework, labs, or tests hanging over my head. CpE was rough.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Hey guys! Woah, Big Gulps, huh? All right! Welp, see ya later!

Re: Disagree

Aug 19, 2009, 9:56 AM [ in reply to Disagree ]

Gotta admit I agree with you there. When I took an internship before my senior year, I was positively AMAZED at the amount of free time I had at the end of the day. I burned through books at the rate of 3 a week. I had no homework, exams, study groups, meetings, or programs to write. It was blissful. I also liked having money in my pocket. So yeah, I have to say the real world definitely has some perks over being a student. Like they say, college would be awesome if you didn't have to go to class. :)

That being said, I still miss being a student!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You're fortunate if you don't constantly think about work

Aug 19, 2009, 1:25 PM [ in reply to Disagree ]

after hours. I'll take all the exams and labs you can give me right now.

Very, Very Excited. Very, Very Proud.
