its still weird for me. I went over to campus today to pick up a form for my gf, who is graduating in May, and it felt soooo odd. No backpack, no books, no class.
But as weird as it feels, it feels do #### good.

my gf, soon to be fiance, is getting her Masters here at Clemson when she finishes her Undergrad in May.
Kinda sucks, but I don't want to move away from her.

You might have to. Job openings are much more plentiful in your field in Atlanta or Charlotte.
Just some friendly advice - don't narrow your search down too much as you might find something much better if you are flexible.

I grew up in Atlanta, so it wouldn't be a transition at all. I'm just not sure I can live away from the gf for that long.
But, as you said...I may have no choice.

It should not be that big of a deal.
Coworker of mine's (I live in Atlanta) husband is in Boston for 3 years.
I used to travel 100% for a living, so I was only at home with my wife Friday and Saturday night.
If you guys have what it takes, it won't make any difference. Atlanta and Charlotte are only an hour further than Greenville is anyway, so I would not get hung up on staying in Greenville.

No problem.
You may want to try to get hooked up with a finance/accounting recruiter as well. That is often much more effective than the scatter-gun approach of sending your resume out yourself.

You should seriously consider going in with American Express up in Greenville...I started out with them with my Financial Management degree. They are well known as one of the best places to get started (to get your series 7 and 65) is you have any interest in becoming a broker\financial advisor. Once you have your licenses it's probably best to stick around for a little experience and then hit the road.
