guys we got F'ed on the schedule

Jan 21, 2018, 9:02 PM

All the good games landed on away this year

I think that is because we played all the conference

teams at home (or all but one) last year and play A&M at home next year by choice when we signed the agreement with them .... so we sorta knew what was coming

Schedule balances can't predict who is going to be good

Our yearly home and home games are balanced well, IMO.

FSU and Scar...we get one of them at home every year

GT and NCSU...our 2 biggest "rivals" in ACC outside of FSU are also balanced each year.

We also keep L'ville and FSU split...meaning we get one each year. L'ville, on paper, is going to be a contender in our conference for years to come. So, we would not want to have them and FSU on road in any given year.

Our SEC game this year (A&M) happens to be away. And our crossover game (Duke) is probably a solid team but brings no name excitement...unlike a VT or UNC or Miami.

But, our schedule is perfectly balanced considering parameters.

Our home schedule will be much better if NCSU, L'ville, and Scar put Top 25 teams on the field next year.
