FSU is just telling him to hurry up and make a decision if he is leaving or not and there is no real attempt (atleast not publicly) on the part of FSU to get him to stay?

For whatever reason, Jimbo has never outwardly shown a commitment to FSU. Which some people will say is a good negotiating tactic but like with all employers, eventually the game will get old.
It's one thing when you're doing well and not being compensated accordingly. But Jimbo has a top ten salary. He's in a recruiting hot bed with both Miami and Florida down the past few years (until this year with Miami). FSU is a top notch job. It's not unreasonable, given those parameters, for both the fans and the administration to expect him to shut down the rumors early and express a commitment to this program. And he has never ever done that. LSU twice and now TAM.
