Were TCU and Baylor the undefeated teams

In 2014 who had good beat downs of teams but because of their schedule got left out of the playoff? Remind me how this played out? TIA.

NO, they were both one/ loss teams AND the BIG12 wouldn't

Baylor's was to Iowa State iirc.

TCU had the better resume and more impressive results however they lost the head to head to Baylor 61-58 in a game where they blew a big lead.

Big 12 named them co champions when technically it should've been Baylor with head to head. Rather than include both, the playoff left out both. TCU then slaughtered Ole Miss in the Chick Fil A bowl.
