Very interesting stuff, I hand out in old cemeteries a lot, and study graves going back hundreds of years, always fascinates me. What I've come to discover is that there are many unknown graves all over, even good looking stones that are just too old and faded to read anymore. These are everywhere, in many cemeteries. I came across an old cemetery in Greenwood., Ga, with quite a stunning row of probably a hundred unknown ones from the Civil War period. Unknown graves - very commmon. "Known only to God".

I hope they can give a proper marker and burial too. Just part of our racial past. Very sad
