To all those saying because we are good in football is why..

Why can't be good in basketball, do you also apply this same logic to all of Clemson University's sports? Clemson is first and foremost an institution of higher learning. This is no reason the school can't at least try to excel in all sports.

I don't know that anyone is saying football success is the "why" so much as it is the reason for being more tolerant of the lack of basketball success.

We all know the football history so I'll leave that alone

Men's Basketball - 2 ACC tourny champs, 1 reg season camp, 1 Elite 8 and 3 Sweet 16
Baseball - 12 CWS appearances, 10 ACC tourny champs
Men's Soccer - 2 Natty's, 2 runners-up, 8 final four, 3 ACC tourny champs
Women's Soccer - 2 ACC reg season champs, 4 NCAA tourny quarters
Golf - 1 natty, 2 runners-up, 10 ACC Champs
Men's Tennis - 11 ACC tourny champs
Women's Tennis - 2 NCAA Final Fours, 8 ACC tourny champs
Women's Volleyball - 1 ACC tourny champ, 2 ACC reg season champs
Women's Rowing - 1 ACC team champ
Track & Field - loads of individual and team accomplishments

(thanks to a little web site called Wikipedia)

We've also had 6 Olympic gold medalists, 4 silver medalists and 8 bronze medalists

And - to top it off - our graduation rate for our student-athletes is among the best in the country. Something we all SHOULD be VERY proud of! GO TIGERS!

Don't forget in soccer we have won 2 Hermann Trophies, which are the soccer version of the Heisman:

1998 Wojtek Krakowiak, Clemson
1987 Bruce Murray, Clemson
