we almost never run. That was a bad handoff by DJ. He put it in ETN's neck. BUT!!! why run plays out of a formation that is not typical. You got a 250 lb QB. Put beef up front and run DJ for gods sake.

This game is far from over and I expect we will crawl our way back in, but that was a very poor coaching decision.

Elliott is a phenomenal recruiter but has never been a good playcaller. He's always been about the dink and dunk screens and draws. Even when Clemson has a generational QB and superstar wide receivers that's still been the MO. Clemson just usually scores a ton because they have such better players than everyone else. I realize there are limitations this year with a bad offensive line and weaker receivers (and injuries there). But I still think the receivers there are so talented that they'd make plays with decent schemes. I've wished for a while that we could bring in a great offensive mind to coach the offense.
