Tailgating Question

Sep 19, 2017, 12:10 PM

Greetings,

I am one of the few lowly BC fans making the trip to Clemson this weekend. I was also down two years ago - despite the bloodbath, I had a blast because of the tailgate/stadium atmosphere and all of the friendly folks I came across. I look forward to a similar experience this time. Maybe we can even beat the spread (but I highly doubt it).

My group has a tailgating pass, but we'd love to figure out some way to arrange a DD home from the game. Ideally, we would pay someone (an undergrad?) to drive us in our car and then that person would be met at our rental property by a friend to drive him/her home. Are you aware of any companies / people that would provide this service? Any other ideas that achieve the same goal?

Thanks for any help!

Uber would probably be your best bet.***

Not judging, but...

You guys are planning to get so hammered before 3:30 that a four hour break from drinking will not be enough time for any of you to sober up and drive?

I second the Uber.

I see nothing wrong with this plan***

I certainly do! Mrs Elwyn07 doesn't tho...

I usually drink dining the game and during the ride home too if you really want to know.

This sounds like a trap for some poor unsuspecting undergrad***

How cute are you expecting the coed to look?

And are you planning to kidnap them?

Thanks for the responses, everyone. To follow up on a few of the comments...

We didn't realize that leaving our car overnight was an option - that definitely wouldn't fly at BC's campus. Uber might be the way to go, and that has the added bonus of flexibility (i.e. we could decide to drive if we were good to go (see below)).

We typically drink before the game and sneak booze into the game, as well. But that's besides the point. The reason we are interested in an arrangement like this is that two years ago, it took us ~2 hours to get out of the lot. So we figured we'd just plan to tailgate after the game this time and wait out the traffic.

Thanks again.

Waiting out the traffic is a good option. Being an early game, no need to rush anywhere. Enjoy the good life!
