Question for you NASCAR fanatics

Dec 13, 2012, 10:14 PM

I've been to Dalrington, Rockingham, Martinsville, Charlotte & Atlanta for races. I've been to Daytona's museum but not during race week. I'm trying to decide my next trip, any suggestions?

My take....

I have been to Darlington, Rockingham, Bristol, Atlanta, Charlotte, and the night race at Bristol is great. Used to be hard to get tickets, not anymore. I suggest going there, however, I love Darlington.

Daytona! Go early in the week. Fish until Friday. Go

to the "little" race Saturday...then to see the big boys on Sunday. DO NOT try to come home Sunday night! You will spend hours sitting in traffic on I-95!

I've given up on NASCAR. But, I would always make that trip.

Daytona for the 500 and Daytona for the July night race

something about that place........some folks don't like the superspeedways but for me, Daytona still has that "X" factor....it's just Daytona and it will always be the truth to me....second would be Bristol night race....Dover would be third....that place is insane up there at the Monster Mile. I've been to all three of them and that's how i'd rank them....i'm from Columbia and have never been to Darlington, believe it or not....it will happen one day.

I'll second that! You won't sit down the entire race. And you can feel the speed!

I'd recommend....

Daytona, Talladega or Bristol. If you are a NASCAR fans, the Dayton 500 is definitely one of those "bucket list" races. Bristol, which is like watching jets fly in a gymnasium, is a fun race too.
