Matt Kutcher is leading after shooting -7 . . .
Kyle Stanley is our only Tiger seen when I scanned the Leaderboard . . . Kyle managed an Even Par Round and sits in a tie for 42nd Place . . . there are 120 participants

Since it’s an “Invitational” . . . could it be no other Tigers were invited?
(I haven’t a clue what qualifications you must have to get invited.)
Hopefully Kyle can make the cut and give me a Tiger to pull for over the weekend!!!

It’s a limited field, but it’s not by invitation only, other than the normal sponsor’s exemptions. I’m pretty sure Lucas could have gotten in, but I guess he chose not to play. The rest of our guys were probably not high enough on the priority list.

Tiger should have invited Doc Redman to play. He is in the top 70 or 80 or so in Fed. Ex. points, and he won the U.S. Amateur on the same course (Riviera) after only his freshman year, with a finish that was about as spectacular as anything Tiger ever did. He plays fearlessly, and ultimately, I think he will be the most successful Tiger golfer on P.G.A. Tour, and my guess is sooner, rather than later. Like Jordan Spieth and only a few others (including Tiger) he earned his way on tour getting by making enough money and/or points without ever having to go through Tour Qualifying School.
