They must have elite facilities.

we just opened a pretty stellar indoor facility this year

Feb 18, 2019, 12:51 PM

So facilities isn't really an excuse for us

I wonder if Georgia State approached this as

revenge for their loss to us in football a few months ago.

If it had been "squashed" you would have another racket sport related reference.

Clemson is a football school.

just like the football and men's soccer teams.

But it's been a while now since we have been truly relevant

Do you think the current coach will be able to recruit with the new facilities or will more program changes need to be made?

In theory it should attract some more recruits

Feb 18, 2019, 8:44 PM

But lately we've been focusing on getting transfers.

There certainly needs to be a better implemented recruiting plan and hopefully the facilities can help that

Transfers. Where have I heard that before?

Transfers have been a big part of tennis for years

Feb 18, 2019, 9:05 PM

even before it started to catch on in other sports.

Here are the players who have transferred in in recent years:

2019
Simon Baudry (Miss State)
Pierre-Louis Dodens (Arizona State)
Gabriel Diaz Friere (Loyola Marymount)

2018
Sam Edwards (Alabama)
Igor Smelyansky (Tennessee) - never actually played a match for Clemson, didn't join the team in the spring

2017
Jess Jones (Tennessee)
Arturo Pinazo (Laredo CC)
Daffra Sanon (Washington

2016
Luke Johnson (Florida)

2015
Alejandro Augusto (Tennessee Tech)

high reliance on the transfers. All of these players turned out to be fairly mediocre at Clemson with Augusto probably being the most successful of them. I
