Offensive Tempo compared to last year.

Sep 11, 2016, 12:29 AM

Compared to last year, is our offensive tempo a lot slower and therefore more sluggish? Because it sure seems like it to the point of boring. The concentration just isn't there possibly because of the lack of continuity due to the fact that there seems to be different players on every play. Am I seeing something different ?

After week 2 last year, we'd already scored 90 points and only allowed 20. So yes, you're definitely seeing something different, we all are. Let's just hope it gets cleaned up before Georgia Tech!

In my opinion we are really missing the play of Gore and Peake
No one one currently on this team is even remotely close to being able to block and sustain the block downfield like Peake.
Fruh is no where near as active with his feet as Gore and is a drop off right now in productivity as compared to Gore last year.
Someone will have to step up and be physical downfield blocking and Fruh will need to up his effort
When that happens if it happens we will get more effective moving the ball
Otherwise outback bowl here we come!

Offensive tempo equates to maintaining

Sep 11, 2016, 8:44 AM

A consistent rhythm, as we all know. If we do get into a rhythm we aren't sustaining it. Therefore we can't maintain the tempo that makes our offense click.

What is the problem? Not sure but here's to hoping it gets fixed... And fast!
