Not the result I hoped for this weekend

Credit to NC State for the way they played, but figured we'd @ least get a series win, especially playing @ home. Especially w/ series @ UL, vs FSU (2 of the favorites in the division), @ WF (who despite their record has series wins against FSU/UL & is behind only NC State in standings right now), & @ UVA still on the schedule.

Know there's still a lot of ball left to play but pretty sure the expectations came back down to earth a bit from where they were last weekend sitting at 15-1. Still hopeful that this is the year ML & the team get the program back to Omaha, but it's gonna take some work & some improvement of the pitching staff if it's gonna happen.

what games were you watching??? The pitching was the only thing that kept us in the games at most times. But overall I thought we played well. We had the one game with 5 errors and we hit the ball hard. It just happened to be right to somebody everytime. they were able to find the gaps and we weren't. that's just how baseball is sometimes. This team will be just fine.

lmfao. ncs hit .229 on the weekend. they came in at .340 as a team. they had the more timely hits. our bats need to perk up. hard to figure out what you were watching

The way they have been hitting you almost knew it was coming.
Getting out hit but still winning will not last forever.
Good news is there is a lot of baseball left and we have better pitching than expected.
The Bats will come alive and the pitchers will get even better .
Might not be a top 5 or 10 team but still got a good shot to make a run.

Yeah we’ve allowed 7 runs twice in 20 games and won both those games. That’s pretty darn good for college baseball.

But I do see where you are coming from on most of the post. Better said with our low run productivity we need pitching that can hold teams to 2-3 runs a game.

We got good solid pitching but not an ace that’s gonna give you shutout and 2< runs like you see in cws.
