Mystery prospect creates a buzz at Swinney's morning session
The third day of Dabo Swinney’s high school camp wrapped up Wednesday morning, but it wasn’t without its share of activity. Prior to the start of the session – as the players were warming up inside the indoor practice facility – a new camper at the back of the line turned a lot of heads. Full Story » |

It would be great if he checks out as a freak ath. The way DE recruiting is going this could be what we need.

Until he gains experience at DE, he could still blow people away on special teams!!!!!
Some of our best special teams players did not start in the 1970's & 80's; however, they kicked ball$ on special teams.
Bring him on!!!! Head Hunter!!!
Go Tigers!!!

I dare say , could he turn out to be a "Clowney with attitude " ?

Hopefully, he won't develop Clowney's attitude and work ethic. Then again, he wouldn't have the same "leadership" at Clemson that Clowney had at usuc. With the right coaching and attitude he may have been the freak he is capable of being. Instead, he may never amount to squat, other than an extremely expensive mistake/liability.

Finally some Asheville talent looking at Clemson!

I'll be sure to watch this kid this season. In my opinion, this is the kind of kid we should be looking for at DE. Stars are great and all, but we've been making NFL DE's out of unheralded players for years. If he's got the body type and athletic talent, he could be very successful at Clemson. Here's hoping he continues to develop and gets an offer.

Wale is such a great guy!

Wale came to the States as an international student at Asheville Christian Academy. ACA does not have a football program, but we've encouraged him to give football a try. If I'm not mistaken, he's too old by two or three weeks (I think) to play this fall for the Asheville Saints (a team in the Pioneer league for home school and similar kids). He's for-sure raw and I think he has the potential to be an incredible player. Someone will be extremely fortunate to have him as a teammate and I hope it's our beloved Tigers!

Just an update: Wale earned a 4.0 this year at ACA. He's 9 days too old to play for the Asheville Saints so he will play with the Carolina Gladiators this fall. Come out and support him if you get a chance! Also... Just to help ease your minds: His mom is absolutely the furthest thing from a Nigerian politician.

I say take a chance on him....

6-8 245, he will only add weight, and all he has to do is learn to play one position. We got 85 scholarships, if he turns out to be a diamond in the rough great for us. If not, there are plenty of scholarship players that hardly ever take the field.

If he takes to the game and accepts coaching well enough I say offer him . Look at the arm length on that guy ! DE's with those sorts of measurables are rare . He goes to a great school , so education is obviously important to him. He is certainly an intriguing prospect.

We should definitely offer this guy. After all the legacy recruits we offered, i don't see why we wouldn't take a chance on him. I think after the right coaching and a RS year, this kid could be a dynamic player
