Martavis called in sick to mandatory Monday meetings in

Oct 23, 2017, 3:17 PM

Pittsburgh. I'm sure he is frustrated, but he needs to take a look at what he has done while there. He hasn't been there 1 complete season without incident. He might want to grab a slice of humble pie.

If that is true - not good.***

I wish Martavis nothing but the best

But from here out; well just as it's always been, it is entirely up to him. He will make it in the NFL or he won't and he will find out that few will care either way. You don't live your life for social media, publicity or whatever - you live it for yourself, your family and your loved ones. He has my best wishes for much success and happiness - but that won't get him anything. It's all on his shoulders and we will learn if he gets it right.

he must have been expecting everyone to welcome him back

Oct 23, 2017, 3:37 PM

with open arms instead of understanding the NFL is a business. People are vying for your job everyday and are unsympathetic to those who take the privilege for granted. So this year needed to be his proving it year. Prove that he's back to work and gain that trust back. Somebody should have prepared him for that. He's acting like he deserves to have the same spot back. He should know that people would be pist at him. Nobody has his back right now and he can't handle it and is putting a wrap on his career.

Kid will regret this period of his life if he doesn't snap out of it. No one is going to want to sign him if this is all true and he continues. He'll be done. And its a shame. He was having mad success.

He is in great shape, has been blocking good, and has been getting open...

Not his fault Rapelisberger won't pass to him. Oh, and there will be plenty of teams interested in a 6'4" 4.4 40 WR who gets open.

one more strike and he is done, there will not be a long

To be fair though, when they actually give him sufficient

targets he does a whole lot of good, I mean 16% of his receptions are for TD's whereas Brown's is closer to 8%.

Steelers should have released him or traded him before...

Oct 23, 2017, 6:21 PM

the start of the season. The Steelers offered zero support for him when he was dealing with his personal issues. He does everything right to get back and and Roethlisberger (who has been accused of sexual assault twice) blasted him in the media. He came back in great shape, has blocked well, and has been getting open. If the Steelers weren't going to use him they should have parted ways with him instead of sabotaging him in a contract season

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

In what way exactly are they sabotaging him?***

You keep saying that but have absolutely no proof that it is true. And what does Rothlisburger's poor behavior have to do with Bryant's inability to take possession of his actions and act like a mature adult? None!
